Biomedical Image Computing and Imaging Informatics (Dr. Lin Yang)

Lin Yang is an associate professor with the J. Crayton Pruitt Family Department of Biomedical Engineering at University of Florida. He leads the Biomedical Image Computing and Imaging Informatics (BICI2) Lab. He was recruited to University of Florida in 2014 as one of the first round preeminence hirings (36 faculty members) through UF Preeminence Hiring Plan.

Dr. Jaydev Desai, Georgia Institute of Technology

The Dr. Desai's research lab focuses primarily on research in the areas of Medical Robotics both at the macro and micro scale. Specifically, RAMS lab research is targeted towards:

  • Image-guided Robotics
  • Haptic (sense of touch) interfaces for Robot-assisted Surgery
  • Reality-based soft-tissue modeling for Surgical Simulation
  • Model-based teleoperation in Robot-assisted surgery, and
  • Cell manipulation

Rutgers Discovery Informatics Institute: RDI2

The overarching goal of the Rutgers Discovery Informatics Institute (RDI2), New Jersey’s Center for Advanced Computation, is to establish a comprehensive and internationally competitive Computational and Data-Enabled Science and Engineering (CDS&E) effort at Rutgers University that can nurture the fundamental integration of research, education, and infrastructure. This integration will stimulate new thinking and new practices in CDS&E that will be catalyzed by cyberinfrastructure advances.
