Dr. Zhang received his B.E. degree in Biomedical Engineering/Computer Science and Application from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China in 1999, and his M.S. degree in Biomedical Engineering from the sam institution in 2002. He also received his M.S. degree in Statistics from Rutgers University–New Brunswick in 2006 and Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Engineering in 2009 from Rutgers University–New Brunswick-UMDNJ. His research interests include computer vision, image/signal processing, computer science and their application in the development of 3D reconstruction and modeling analysis for medical images, data analysis, and robust image segmentation algorithms. He is currently an ICES Post-Doctoral Fellow conducting research in medical image analysis of abdominal aortic aneurysms.
